Report: El Al Crew in Canada was Under Terrorists’ Surveillance

According to a Channel 2 News report, an El Al crew in Canada was under surveillance by terrorists. The crew was being housed in a Toronto hotel. Israeli sources report the terrorists appear to have been linked to Hizbullah, adding they have been arrested and the news resulted in a change of operating and security protocol for El Al personnel.

The news of the attempted attack against El Al personnel comes amid mounting intelligence reports of planned attacks against Israelis and Jews around the world, with the Israel Counter-Terrorism Bureau issuing strong travel advisors ahead of the Tishrei Yomim Tovim, with an emphasis on danger in the Sinai resort areas, urging Israelis to avoid that area on Rosh Hashanah.

Over recent weeks there have been warnings and the news of planned and attempted attacks continues to leak out to the media in small doses as it becomes increasingly evident that every shul and Jewish and Israeli institution around the world is a potential target for Islamic terrorists.
