Kashrus Alert: All Budweiser Products Questionable

Anheuser-Busch, makers of Budweiser products, is now producing Budweiser Clamato Chelada and Bud Light Clamato Chelada. These contain Clamato - a clam and tomato juice cocktail from Mott's - and are 100% treif.The question, then, is about the equipment. The company's first verbal response was that they mix the Calmato and Budweiser after the production of beer, and then the bottling of these two products are done on specialized equipment which is not used for their beer products.

Paradise Manor to Reopen after Yom Tov

After over one month of renovations, Paradise Manor in Boro Park will be reopening for a Shabbos Bereishis auf ruf following the electrical fire that destroyed a storage room and damaged the catering halls offices and lobby. B’chasdei Hashem, there was no damage to the ballroom, but due to the smoke and fire damage to the other parts of the building, Paradise Manager Binyomin Kar assisted in relocating all previously scheduled simchos to other venues in the area.
“Boruch Hashem,” Mr. Kar stated, “it was contained to minimal damage and no one was hurt, even though our whole staff was in the building when it happened. Everyone was preparing for a simcha that night, which was relocated to the Sefardishe Shul.”

Massive Post Shmittah Planting Project in Yerushalayim

After Rosh Hashanah, with the end of the shmittah year, the City Beautification Department in the Yerushalayim municipality has begun a widespread campaign to plant over 50,000 plants of different types throughout its environs, as no form of planting had been carried out during the shmittah year in accordance with the Bais Hamedrash for Halacha in Settlement and the instruction of Yerushalayim Mayor Uri Lupolianski.

Israel - Chief Rabbis Call Upon Akko Residents to Stop Rioting

Chief Rabbis Shlomo Amar and Yona Metzger called upon Akko residents to stop the riots in the city. “We were sad to hear about the clashes…and our hearts were especially saddened when we heard that these clashes began on our holiest and dearest day – Yom Kippur,” said the rabbis.
“We are calling upon all of Akko’s residents, Jews and Arabs, please rise above the divisions and above all strife and quarrel,” added the two.
