Rosh Hashanah Makes History in South Korea

For the first time in history, the Jews of South Korea held a minyan during the High Holydays at a hotel rented especially for that purpose. The minyan was organized by Chabad shliach Rabbi Asher Litzman, who arrived in the region last year.

Another historical event occurred on the first day of Rosh Hashanah, with the first Chassidishe bris milah ever performed in South Korea. Rabbi Litzman’s baby son had his bris milah on that day, performed by a mohel who had flown in from Jerusalem especially for the occasion.
