Meah Shearim Residents Threaten To Keep Visitors Out This Sukkos

A group of Meah Shearim residents have collected 2,000 signatures on a petition to stop the flood of visitors to the neighborhood on Chol Hamoed Sukkos. A group is threatening to physically block the entrance to Meah Shearim, or even use chemical sprays to keep out unwanted visitors, particularly women.

The Badatz Eidah HaCharedis ruled this year that the celebrations must not go past 12:30 each night of Chol Hamoed, and the womens' sections are to be closed to outsiders.
