Long Island Chabad Shluchim welcome ranking Long Island Government leaders to visit of the Rebbes Ohel

This Sunday, two prominent Long Island leaders made their first visit of the Ohel of the Lubavitcher Rebbe. Attending were State Senator Dean Skelos, Majority Leader of the New York State and Hon. Jack Martins the Mayor of Mineola, the capitol of Nassau County. Following the visit to the Ohel, a special conference was held in the Ohel Conference Room, where each distinguished leader spoke of their respect of the Rebbe and their deep appreciation of the Shluchim on Long Island and across the State of New York. State Senator Dean Skelos was visibly moved by the experience and pledged to continue to support the many issues and goals of the Rebbe. Both leaders have been close friends of Chabad for many years. Mayor Jack Martins is a close friend and neighbor of Rabbi Anchelle Perl of Mineola. Rabbi Perl thanked the Mayor for his invaluable support and leadership to the Chabad House following a devastating flood last year.
