Rabbi Shmuel Bloom has just announced his resignation from Agudas Yisroel of America during an international conference call of Agudah Vice Presidents. Rabbi Bloom cited personal reasons and said he would like to get more involved in askanus in other areas. Rabbi Bloom would have marked 34 years at the Agudah on January 20. Citing the plans for Rabbi Chaim Dovid Zwiebel to assume the Executive Vice President position and the active involvement of R' Gedaliah Weinberger, Rabbi Bloom said this is the opportunity he has been seeking for a number of years now.
