Monticello, NY - Judge Gives Girls from Bungalow Colony a Court Lesson

Monticello, NY - Judge Frank LaBuda recently invited the Sun Ranch bungalow colony in Monticello to bring campers to view a day of the court proceedings, which included a full court calendar with several felony cases.

The girls, all of whom reside in Brooklyn, stayed for more than five hours. “We were impressed,” said Gitty Walter, head counselor, noting that it was a first-time experience for the girls, and informative “in a creepy sort of way.”

LaBuda said he regularly invites the high school kids to learn about court proceedings in a real-life setting.
