Moetzes Rabbanim Of Europe Meets In Brussels

Brussels, Belgium -- The biannual meeting of the Moetzes Rabbanim of Europe has commenced in Brussels, Belgium. The Moetzes consists of Rabbanim from across the European continent who meet to contend with the daily issues confronting European Jewish communities, as well as to discuss how to further broaden the activities of the Moetzes.

Some of the topics to be discussed this year are the forming of a fund that will assist those involved in Jewish community work, giving a new list of Rabbanim, and the necessity to treat the subject of clarifying an individual’s Jewish identity with the seriousness it deserves.

Among the Rabbanim expected to of attend is R’ David Moshe Lieberman of Antwerp, R’ Yaacov Yisrael Lichtenstien and R’ Yitzchak Meir Haaretz of London, R’ Yirmiyah Menachem HaCohen and R’ Yosef Dovid Frankfurter of Paris, and R’ Moshe Tuvia Weissberger of Budapest.
