Lyon, France - Legal Proceedings Began Against French Cartoonist For Anti-Semitic Drawing

Lyon, France -- Legal proceedings began against Maurice Sinet, a French cartoonist facing charges of inciting "racial hatred" with drawings that have been called anti-Semitic.

Sinet, better known as Siné, was fired from the far-left weekly Charlie Hebdo when he refused to apologize for a July cartoon in which he said that Jean Sarkozy, 22, the son of the French president, would "go far" for converting to Judaism before marrying his Jewish heiress fiancé, Jessica Sebaoun-Darty.
