Israeli Supermarket Chain to Kasher Treife Stores

The Almost Free food warehouse chain in Eretz Yisroel has recently purchased three supermarkets from the non-kosher Tiv Ta’am supermarket chain for the express purpose of making them kosher. The Tiv Ta’am chain is known for its sale of pork and other non-kosher food items. Almost Free owners Ronnie and Adi Tzim said they were on a mission to ensure that no store in Eretz Yisroel sold non-kosher food items and so were embarking on a campaign to acquire non-kosher stores and make them kosher.
