Today, Tuesday at about 8:30am, a cyclist was stuck and injured on Empire Boulevard between Brooklyn and Kingston, the incident took place as the cyclist passed a truck who suddenly opened his door and in attempt to swerve and avoid it he went into the path of a minivan and was struck.
A Shmira/Shomrim member happened to be there right as it happened and called 911, in the meantime he sprung into action and stabilized the patient all the while talking to him and making sure he doesn’t loose consciousness.
