Customs men who stopped a woman wearing an unusual wig found it hid cocaine worth pounds 60,000. The 800g consignment was discovered as the woman, from Jamaica, passed through Dallas, Texas, on her way to London.
A spokesman for British Customs said: "The drugs were sewn into her skullcap, which was in turn sewn into her hair and a wig." The woman is now in custody in a British jail awaiting trial on a charge of attempted illegal importation of drugs.
