Chabad Attracts Stranded Jews in Thailand

(IsraelNN.com) The political crisis in Thailand has turned the Chabad center in Phuket to a second home for Jews, who are among thousands of tourists stranded because of the recent closure of the area's' airport. More than 270 Jews crowded into the Chabad House for the Sabbath, which visiting businessman Golan Bar-Zion described as "very special."

He added, “Like all Chabad Houses in Thailand, there is a feeling of home, when so many Israelis get together for Kiddush, and everyone is singing together.”
