Brooklyn, NY -- New York State Assemblyman Dov Hikind is continuing his crusade against child molesters within the Orthodox Jewish community. He has established a hotline for victims or others with information of pedophilia, and has vowed to be as public as necessary to prevent abusers from accessing the children they prey on.
Last night, he conducted a radio interview with a married Orthodox man who was abused twice as a teenager, once by a local store-owner and later on by aYeshiva student in Beis Midrash. Mr. Hikind had arranged for the man to meet with his first abuser, who admitted to the molestation and asked forgiveness during the encounter. However, the victimized man said that he was not yet ready to forgive the person who had caused him so much anguish as a child.
