Atlantic City, NJ - Two Charged in Theft of Memorial Plaques from Synagogue

Township police arrested two men in connection with the theft of eight memorial plaques from an Atlantic City synagogue. The plaques, each worth $1,200, were donated in memory of some of the Community Synagogue’s deceased members.

An investigation led to the arrest of Mariano Rivera, 40, and Thomas Salmon, 49, both of Egg Harbor Township. Both men are charged with receiving stolen property and conspiracy. Police said more charges may be filed pending a further investigation.
