Agudath Israel NJ Legislative Breakfast Honors Legislators

This morning, Agudath Israel of New Jersey held its Inaugural Legislative Breakfast and honored a number of legislators in recognition for their work on behalf of the community. The Agudath Israel event, at the Regency Jewish Heritage Home for the Aged, was chaired by Gary Schaer, mayor of Passaic and devoted member of the NJ State Assembly. The honorees at today’s gathering were Senator Frank Lautenberg; Meir Lichtenstein, Deputy Mayor of Lakewood, NJ; Dan Gaby, Executive Director of Educational Excellence for Everyone; State Senator Ray Lesniak, State Senator Barbara Buono of Edison; and State Senator Jennifer Beck.

The breakfast focused on a number of important issues affecting the community including religious accommodation, school choice and security.
